After exactly three decades, the Swedish automaker Saab came out with the latest turbocharged vehicle named as the Saab Turbo X in the 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show last September 11.
Aside from being a sight to behold, the sleek black passenger car (or sport wagon) of Saab has been geared with top-caliber auto parts that will ensure the high-performance of the Turbo X. Setting aside its turbocharged engine, the four-wheel machine has been equipped with a V6 turbo engine that can guarantee up to a 280-horsepower strength. The beefed up engine of the Saab Turbo X is also capable of an acceleration of zero to 100kph in just 5.7 seconds. To back up the speeding prowess of this latest Saab model, the vehicle has the suspension parts to boast about. A more tuned up suspension parts and powertrain settings plus the enhanced aerodynamic quality of the Turbo X make this machine more powerful.
For a better road handling and stability, the Saab Turbo X has also been geared with the XWD that actively splits torque distribution between both rear wheels and axles. Furthermore, this Saab model’s sports tuned chassis, which has been lowered by 10 mm, will greatly contribute to the performance of the all-wheel-drive system. The more rigid dampers and springs will also prevent extra movement, especially in an off-road drive, from occurring. For this powerful Saab Turbo X, a beefed up brake system was utilized. Larger brake discs have been fitted in this particular Saab model for that much needed stopping power.
The 18-inch alloy wheels have been geared in both the sedan or sport wagon Saab Turbo X. The first batch of the Saab Turbo X is expected to come out in the market in the second quarter of 2008.
